Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards released registration information for the Shelter at Home Program, a new program that will allow Louisiana residents whose homes flooded to shelter at their own home while they continue to rebuild, rather than relocating to a shelter, hotel or rental property.

Hi folks, please volunteer to help us gut houses and treat mold for victims of the flood. There are still many homes that need to be saved!!! Many families (especially single moms) don't have the resources or manpower to save their homes.

Here is the info we have so far on this type of work.
Habitat for Humanity will offer a demo crew for people who do not have flood insurance. They will gut sheet rock and spray to prevent mold. Call 225-927-6651 or email lynn@habitatbr.org.
