A mobile pet shelter has been set up at the Baton Rouge River Center on 275 S River Rd.
The ASPCA has dispatched a disaster response team to conduct animal water rescues. The ASPCA is working with the Louisiana State Animal Response Team (LSART) to coordinate local resources. Residents who need assistance recovering an animal from their flooded home or who need emergency shelter for their animal should contact the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP).
